Community Engagement Coordinator
Rita Carina Veleta is the Community Engagement Coordinator at NMCLP where she leads strategic outreach to ensure community needs and voices are central to our public benefits advocacy work. Prior to joining NMCLP, she built her career in public service and economic development, building equity-centered infrastructure within state government. She has designed and led initiatives to expand access to capital, technical assistance, and resources for BIPOC, low-wealth, and rural communities. Outside of work she loves to try new local restaurants, travel with her husband, and prioritize her personal wellness.
