Jessie Calero is the Senior Development Officer at NMCLP, where she leads the individual and corporate fundraising efforts. She has worked in the nonprofit sector since 2011, spending nearly twelve years at Mandy’s Farm, a disability service provider in Albuquerque, before transitioning to NMCLP in 2022 to focus on systemic change. With extensive experience in fundraising, grant writing, events, and communications, she has secured multiple seven-figure general operating grants and introduced annual impact reports at both organizations to better communicate impact to donors. A passionate storyteller, Jessie also does freelance writing and training on disability issues, work that is deeply meaningful to her as an Autistic person. She was honored as a UNM Center for Development and Disability Partners in Policymaking Fellow and a 40 Under Forty Award recipient in 2020. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, and watching reality TV.
