Emma O'Sullivan

Workers’ Rights Attorney

Emma O’Sullivan (she/her) works to promote the rights and protections of all workers in New Mexico through community partnerships and advocacy, including litigation, legislative solutions and engaging with public agencies. Before coming to the Center, Emma served as executive director of Santa Fe Dreamers Project, a grassroots nonprofit organization providing legal services to immigrants and mixed-status families throughout New Mexico. As an immigration attorney, Emma represented hundreds of individuals and families across the state, and her work focused on collaborative and community-based approaches to legal services and policy advocacy. She was an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, serving as AILA advocacy captain for New Mexico in 2017 and 2018. She was recognized by the NM Women’s Bar Association with the Rising Star Award in 2018 for her work in rural communities and with detained asylum-seekers, and with the Catholic Charities Simon of Cyrene Award in 2022 for community engagement supporting immigration legal advocacy in New Mexico. Emma is a 7th generation New Mexican who grew up outside of Tomé, NM.

BA in Sociology/ Anthropology and Spanish from Berry College
